Do you ever watch someone's attention drift while you're still working your way to the point? Do you dread meetings where you know someone will say “just give me the short version,” because that feels like swimming uphill?

Get to the Point helps you lead with the answer.

This 1:1 coaching programme gives you three 45-minute online sessions over two months, ideally spaced around two weeks apart so you have time to practise structures between each session. It isn't a group course, so you'll have my full attention. Sessions are practical and hands-on. You'll work through six specific workplace situations, two per session, each one practised out loud, with my coaching and feedback on what's working, why, and how to make it even better.

Every session builds the same core skill in a different context.

Say It First

You'll learn to open with your point, not an introduction or background “padding.” This means people get the answer before their attention wanders.

Say What Matters Most

You'll learn to structure a message so the most important thing is said first, even if that's all someone hears.

Say It With the Evidence

You'll learn to lead with your recommendation and back it with a few clear, organised reasons, think data and research, so senior stakeholders take your words seriously.

Programme Overview

Each session you'll practise a different structure twice. Not familiar with these structures? Don't worry, I'll introduce each one as we go.

Session 1 – BLUF: answering a colleague's “quick question” without launching into the whole backstory first, and not backing down when a client pushes back on a delayed deadline.

Session 2 – Inverted Pyramid: briefing leadership on a project post-mortem when you'll only have their attention for the first minute, and handing over your role to a colleague in a way that the most important thing gets said first.

Session 3 – Minto Pyramid: recommending and justifying with evidence which of two strategic directions the team should take, and making the case for a bigger project budget backed by data.
