“A couple of years ago, I was about to launch a mini hackathon and needed to inspire bold thinking, and I worked with Mica on my storytelling and communication.
Rather than word-heavy slides, Mica helped me design the presentation using a single image per page - keeping the focus on the story being told.
Recently, I found that deck again. One image instantly transported me back to standing on stage. Even without notes, I could still remember the story: a Canadian electrical company trying to prevent snow-heavy power lines from failing. Someone suggested honey pots to get bears to climb up and shake the pylons. That sparked another idea: why not use a helicopter fly-by instead? And that's exactly what they did.
